Working as the photographer for Mary Giuliani Catering at the Nordstrom Holiday event was such a fun and festive experience! The event had that perfect holiday vibe—elegant, but with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made everyone feel right at home. Mary Giuliani Catering truly outdid themselves, with stunning displays of delicious food and drink that were almost too beautiful to eat (but of course, everyone did!).

It was a blast capturing the guests enjoying themselves, mingling, and indulging in the incredible bites that Mary and her team had crafted. I loved snapping candid moments of people enjoying the delicious food and the beautiful decor while getting that cozy holiday spirit in every shot. The team’s attention to detail, from the elegant table settings to the perfectly arranged hors d'oeuvres, made my job so much easier.

Beyond the beautiful spread, it was clear that the event was all about creating memorable experiences, and I felt lucky to be there to document those moments. Whether it was the laughter shared over a cocktail or a guest admiring the stunning holiday displays, there was no shortage of genuine, joyful moments to capture.

It’s hard to say what my favorite thing to shoot is, but I do know this, I love having an assignment that has no preconceived parameters. “Just capture the emotion” is about all of the direction I got from Iona. So the ability to walk around and just shoot for fun, and get the feel of an event is always the best. I didn’t expect to see so many decorated graduation caps, but I loved capturing them in photos.

Delivering on the ambitions of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris climate agreement will require accelerating public-private cooperation and deploying new technological solutions. The Sustainable Development Impact Summit aims to advance both by providing a multistakeholder platform for concerted action. 

The World Economic Forum will work closely with leaders from government, business, academia and civil society who will be present in New York during the United Nations General Assembly to:

• Increase the impact of existing multistakeholder initiatives
• Catalyse new partnerships and alliances
• Explore how the advanced technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution could be better leveraged for sustainable development.
